The power of the new H2 chip, built into a light and compact body, provides cool sound and eliminates twice as much noise as the previous generation AirPods Pro. With a new low-distortion audio driver and dedicated amplifier, AirPods Pro now deliver richer bass and crystal-clear sound across a wider frequency range. Because good sound isn’t complete without a great fit in the ear, a new small tip is included in the kit (now, in addition to interchangeable silicone tips in L, M, S, there is also an XS in the kit), so that even more people can experience the magic of AirPods Pro. The new very small ear tip provides a better fit for more customers.

Thanks to the new H2 Adaptive Transparency chip, it reduces loud ambient noise for more comfortable listening.
Transparency mode allows listeners to stay connected and aware of the world around them. Now, Adaptive Transparency extends this customer-favorite feature even further. The powerful Apple H2 chip provides on-device processing that reduces loud ambient noise, such as a passing car siren, construction tools, or even loud speakers at a concert, for more comfortable everyday listening.

With personalized spatial audio, the sound of AirPods becomes even more immersive. Users perceive sound individually, depending on the size and shape of their heads and ears. Using the iPhone’s TrueDepth camera, users can create a personal profile for Spatial Audio that provides a listening experience that’s precisely tuned just for them. Users can enjoy personalized surround sound with music, movies and TV shows — with dynamic head tracking — on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV.

Convenient functions

The magical experience that users of the AirPods family have come to love is made even better with the next generation of AirPods Pro. Instant connectivity to all Apple devices makes setup easy, and a new dedicated AirPods section in iOS Settings lets users easily access and control their AirPods features.
Users can now control media playback and increase volume without using another device. Thanks to the touch control on AirPods Pro, a simple swipe up or down on the stem allows you to quickly adjust the volume. Tap the leg to change music, answer phone calls, and more, or say “Hey Siri” to make hands-free requests. An improved built-in skin detection sensor more precisely turns playback on or off and ensures long battery life.

Extended battery life

AirPods Pro offer 1.5 hours of additional listening time compared to the first generation, for a total of up to six hours with active noise cancellation. Using the case for four additional charges, users can enjoy up to 30 hours of total listening time with active noise cancellation — a full six hours more than the previous generation.
For more flexibility on the go, buyers can now charge AirPods Pro using an Apple Watch charger or MagSafe charger, a Qi-certified charging mat, or a Lightning cable.

AirPods and the environment

AirPods Pro are designed with numerous materials and features to minimize their impact on the environment, including the use of 100 percent recycled rare earth elements in all magnets and — for the first time — 100 percent recycled gold in the coating of several circuit boards. The case also uses 100 percent recycled tin for the main logic board solder and 100 percent recycled aluminum for the hinge. AirPods Pro do not contain potentially harmful substances such as mercury, BFR, PVC and beryllium. The recycled packaging eliminates the outer plastic film, and 90 percent or more of the packaging is made from fiber-based materials, bringing Apple closer to its goal of completely removing plastic from all packaging by 2025.
Today, Apple is carbon neutral for its global corporate operations, and by 2030 it plans to achieve 100 percent carbon neutrality across its manufacturing supply chain and all product life cycles. This means that every Apple device sold, from component manufacturing, assembly, transportation, customer use, charging, to recycling and recovery of materials, will have zero net impact on the climate.
